德国邮政敦豪集团的空运和海运专家 DHL Global Forwarding宣布，全球的水技术公司 Xylem 已选择 DHLGlobal Forwarding 作为其主要物流供应商，通过其企业社会责任计划 Xylem提供人道主义救援活动水印。两家跨国公司将携手合作，利用他们在全球的丰富经验和足迹，为那些在与水有关的自然灾害和危机之后需要援助的地区提供援助。

DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight specialist ofDeutsche Post DHL Group, announced today that leading global watertechnology company, Xylem, has chosen DHL Global Forwarding astheir primary logistics provider for humanitarian relief activitiesdelivered through its corporate social responsibility program,Xylem Watermark. The two global companies will work together andleverage their extensive experience and footprint across the globeto bring aid to those areas that need it most followingwater-related natural disasters and crises.

DHL Global Forwarding and Xylem Watermark have previously joinedforces to provide disaster relief to communities in times ofcrisis. In the aftermath of Cyclone Idai, in Zimbabwe, DHL GlobalForwarding and Xylem Watermark worked together to freightdewatering pumps from India through South Africa to the affectedcommunities. In addition, the shipment of Xylem e from HongKong to Zimbabwe’s Chimanimani region which Xylem personneldeployed, on the ground, provided clean water to a camp housing 200displaced residents and a rural medical clinic serving nearly10,000 patients daily, reducing the proliferation of water bornediseases such as ARI, malaria, diarrhea and cholera.
DHL Global Forwarding and Xylem Watermark also united effortsfollowing India’s 2019 Monsoon, when they partnered to providehumanitarian assistance to 227,000 displaced individuals in reliefcamps. Together, they coordinated responses, decreasinglogistics response times by up to 60%. As part of the coordinatedefforts, Xylem Watermark and DHL Global Forwarding transportedpotable clean water systems and dewatering pumps from Johannesburgto strategic locations in India’s Karnataka state, supplying cleanwater for up to 76,000 residents daily. Additionally, five schoolsin the region received clean drinking water through filtration andsolar pumping, benefitting over 5,000 students.
